Steven Ngo
Physiotherapist

Steven completed his degree in Health Science in 2011 and went on to complete his Masters of Physiotherapy in 2013 at the University of Sydney. Having developed a passion for sports and health from a young age, a career in physiotherapy was a perfect career fit. Having joined the Activ Therapy team in 2014, he brings a dedicated hands on approach to physiotherapy.

Steven specialises in a range of manual therapy and rehabilitative skills including:
Biomechanics and postural assessment
Dry needling
Kinesiology taping (k-tape)
Mulligans joint mobilisations
Orthopaedic rehabilitation
Active Release Techniques
Massage therapy techniques including trigger point therapy, remedial therapy techniques.
SFMA Level 1 Accredited (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) used to test and find the cause of the problem and not just treat the symptoms.

Having recently completed his masters in physiotherapy and with experience in private practice, massage therapy and sports training, Steven is now an invaluable addition to the Activ Therapy team. He is currently working closely with The Moorebank Magpies AFL club and has a specialised focus on acute musculoskeletal injuries, in particular sporting knee and shoulder conditions.

Steven is a Vietnamese speaking Physiotherapist and is able to provide services for those that require consultations in Vietnamese.

Simon Trinh
Physiotherapist

Simon joins the Liverpool team from a busy musculoskeletal physiotherapy private practice with a wide experience base in structured rehabilitation, manual techniques and class instruction.

Simon strives to achieve the most optimal health possible, both physically and mentally and understands the interconnected nature of the human body. He enjoys assisting others to return to their "normal level of functional whether that be sport, work or just day to day life.

Evidence based practice is the foundation to his treatment approach having completed a research thesis on physical activity levels during rehabilitation in my third year of the Doctor of Physiotherapy degree. I am well informed of the importance of applying this to my everyday clinical reasoning.

Mihajlo Danilovic
Chiropractor

With a Masters in Chiropractic and a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Physiology (Macquarie University), a Certificate 3 in Fitness, and a Level 1 Sports Trainer Certificate, Mihajlo is a chiropractor with a passion for sports, wellbeing, fitness and health. His approach to Chiropractic is a holistic one, with the aim not only to improve patients’ immediate and future health but also enable them to reach their peak health, increase their quality of life and reap the benefits.

During a consultation with Dr Mihajlo Danilovic a thorough case history is taken before the process of assessing, diagnosing and providing a management plan. A typical treatment can involve physical, functional and biomechanical testing and correction, spinal and peripheral adjustments, deep tissue work, nutritional advice, the setting of required rehabilitation programs and overall wellness guidance.

Mihajlo also works with his patients to ensure they understand what needs to be done between treatments, in order for the fastest possible recovery time to be achieved. This can include tailored exercise regimes, stretches and supplementation plans.

Mihajlo is a Serbian speaking Chiropractor and is able to provide services for those that require consultations in Serbian.

Colin Sau
Physiotherapist

Colin completed his Physiotherapy degree at the University of Sydney. He is passionate about living healthy, active lifestyles offering both an active and hands-on approach to treatment.

Colin specialises in:
· Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) assessment and treatment
· Spinal manipulative therapy
· Mckenzie mechanical diagnosis and treatment
· Mulligans joint mobilisations
· Sports taping
· Motor control retraining
· Proprioception and balance reconditioning
· Post-surgery orthopaedic rehabilitation
· Soft tissue work, trigger point therapy

Having worked with sports teams has brought him insight as to how injuries happen in the first place. With this knowledge and previous private practice experience, he has a clear picture of the roots of the injury, providing treatment that not only targets your current complaints but also the contributing factors that led to the problem. Colin has a particular interest in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) physiotherapy, having done additional training on the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of this problem region.

To get the most out of Physiotherapy he provides self management strategies so you know what to do in between physiotherapy sessions.

Colin likes to listen and collaborate with you so that your goals are met in a timely manner and he ensures that there is a clear physiotherapy plan so you are informed about each step of the treatment.

Glen Tieu
​Physiotherapist

Glen graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2018. As a young, energetic individual, he wishes to translate his energy into his physiotherapy practice. Having overcome several sporting injuries himself, he strongly upholds an active approach to recovery using exercise-based rehabilitation and evidence-based interventions.

Glen has a keen interest in treating musculoskeletal and sports injuries. He enjoys taking the time to listen to you and set goals to work around your injuries safely as you return to what you do best. He is enthusiastic about staying up-to-date with current research to accelerate your journey towards recovery and reduce the likelihood of recurrence.

In spite of the countless setbacks in his own fitness training, Glen continues to enjoy balancing his lifestyle with his undying passion for playing basketball, rock climbing and weightlifting.

Glen is a Vietnamese speaking Physiotherapist and is able to provide services for those that require consultations in Vietnamese.

Paul Yu
Physiotherapist

Paul graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sports Science) and a Master of Physiotherapy and has worked in several private practice clinics before joining the Activ Therapy team.

His interest in physiotherapy came from his own sports injuries which helped him understand physiotherapy by being in the shoes of the patient. This has shown him the value of physiotherapy and how important it is in maximising recovery and rehabilitation.

Paul's takes a holistic approach to treatment in order to help people return back to and improve normal health, fitness and function as quickly as possible.

Shana Nair
Physiotherapist

Shana recently graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney.

Shana grew up playing a wide variety of sports including tennis, athletics, karate, swimming and touch football. Having witnessed a number of injuries both on and off the field, she became interested in understanding the biomechanical processes of the human body.

Shana previously was a competitive swimmer, training up to 6-8 times a
week. She has now traded in the 4am starts to pursue her passion in
rehabilitation and empowering patients. She is dedicated to understanding
how and why the problem occurs, working with you to determine what you
want to get back to and personalising a treatment plan based on these
factors

Andrew Rivet
Exercise Physiologist

With over 15 years of professional experience as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and being one of the foundation members of Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA), Andrew Rivet has established a name for himself by helping thousands of patients suffering from a wide variety of spinal, postural and musculoskeletal conditions and chronic illnesses.

Andrew employs a friendly and interactive approach in motivating his patients to achieve their health related goals through safe, research based exercise programming. Providing state-of-the-art rehabilitative exercise programs by applying research based principles of exercise physiology. The objective of integrating exercise physiology is to utilise tailored exercise prescription to manage chronic conditions as well as their risk factors. These include:

Merna Nino
Exercise Physiologist

​Merna joins the team at Activ Therapy having completed a degree in Exercise Physiology and Exercise Sport Science from the University of Sydney.

Merna provides evidence based and individually tailored exercise programs to all her clients in a motivating and engaging way. As well as this, she strongly believes in the value of educating her clients on their various conditions in order to provide them with the skills to take control of their health and to see outstanding results!

With previous experience in a fast paced private practice environment, Merna brings with her experience and skill in the following areas:

Bernard joins the at Activ Therapy team as a dual accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist having completed a degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of New South Wales.
With his passion towards assisting and empowering others to improve their physical capabilities, Bernard provides individualised evidence-based exercise programs to encourage positive health habits and assist his clients to reach their health-related goals.
With previous experience across various clinical settings and health promotion fields. Bernard brings experience dealing with conditions in the following areas:

Musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoporosis
